Retardly long and random post... FTW?
C&A internet!
caitlin_chan
Yes, two posts in one day.  I just felt like making a post as I sit here eating my sour blue raspberry flat gummi-ish things.  Nomnomnom.

Had my fortune read the other day at the Chinese New Year Temple Fair that the Chinese Society put on.  Apparently, I will have a good
marriage.  Considering I don't currently plan to get married, this was news to me, haha.

<lolcat> we can haz snow, but winter storm warning can haz ending, so it can all be goodz. </lolcat>

I need more new music.  Stars is awesome, but that's only one band.  Artist/band recs plz?  Any genre in any language except North American stuff like 50 Cent, etc.  *not a fan of NA rap in general*

Anonymous invades real life.

My brother makes me LOL on MSN (in real life he mostly just makes me want to smack him).  Different snippets separated by an empty line. Cut for length, even though it's full of lulz.

Tim says:
There are cattle farms with less bullshit then my english midterm. >_>

Caitlin says:
Probably. :D
Tim says:
when I saw her at SMUDS, she was like "This is Tim. He was SUPPOSED to be in my novel writing thing" *look*

Tim says:
But yeah. I should wire you money so you can post our bail when me and duncan go to jail for tasering someone by accident. >_>

Caitlin says:

Tim says:
So we can reign on high as god- kings of language and tear apart the foolish mortals who challenge us

Tim says:
I am going to systematically and thoroughly reveal to each and every individual therein the degree to which their lack of command of the english language disgusts me
Tim says:
In a way which at no point becomes inappropriate for the class

Tim says:
I can hear you snickering throuhg the internet. >_>

Tim says:
And a certain degree of hypothetical grasping at straws
Caitlin says:
Now I do.  Hypothetically.
Tim says:
Now, doesn't it make perfect sense? Hypothetically
Caitlin says:
I was also, hypothetically, somewhat irritated, but now it makes hypothetical sense.

Caitlin says:
(No way.  XD)

Tim says:

Hyputheticary?
Caitlin says:
Haipuseitikori.
Caitlin says:
Hypothetically.  <_<
Tim says:
oh wow. you put way more effort into it then I would
[Note: during the course of this entire conversation, which was much, much longer than these snippets, obviously, between us we used the words "hypothetical" or "hypothetically" approximately 160, not counting any potential misspellings.]

Caitlin says:
...Did I link you to the CRAZY ITACHI FACE A chapter or two of Naruto ago?
Tim says:

Caitlin says:
Why?
Tim says:
So when I'm doing something repetitive, and OCDish, and my friends laugh, I can say it's not just me

Tim says:
you know what? You should go back to the penis. Women suck. >_>

...And that got way longer than I intended.

Definitely try out The Polyphonic Spree, although North American, they're not rap, at least? It was the song used in the music video.

And I've recently got into some Japanese kei movement music. Malice Mizer is a definite recommendation. The French classical influences blow my mind.

Dir en grey works too.

You guys are hilarious. You can definitely tell you guys are siblings.

I downloaded, like, everything they did when you mentioned them a while back. XDD North American is fine, just not shit like 50 Cent. XDD

Ahhhh, visual kei~~!! Malice Mizer and Dir en Grey are like gods. Miyavi is also hilarious, though I don't know if he counts as visual kei. ...I need to find my Psycho le Cemu MP3s that I lost...

Good to know we amuse. :D

Really? What did you think?
Ah... how about Dresden Dolls?

I may or may not go into any more visual kei, depending. I can be picky with my music. I looked up three visual kei bands the other day, only two came out of them, for reason. Malice Mizer because of the classical elements, and Dir en grey because of "Obscure".

Of Polyphonic Spree? <3!!
Never listened to them, I'll look them up!

Yeah, visual kei is one of those things people tend to eithe rlike or just not like, haha. Psycho le Cemu was pretty obscure last time I checked...

Yes! What have you listened to of them?
They're pretty obscure themselves.

I'll look them up, but really what I meant was a song called "Obscure," but Dir en grey. I was sold when I saw the video for it.

Uh, a whole bunch. I DLed a bunch of tracks and just let them play, but most of them don't have names in the filenames, just track numbers. I think they're CD rips...

Oh, haha. I'd forgotten that was a song title. ^^;;

Aww, man... Ah, well. At least, I converted you again.

Great song and accompanying video.

Indeed. :D

I'll have to look it up now. Well, later. Once I'm not in class anymore. XDD *in Computer Science*

...your brother (and you) are about ten kinds of awesome. ^^

(and squee on the Vampirates note.)

Music-wise, I have to admit I've been surfing around a lot of music blogs/pseudo-indie record labels lately - Sub Pop is a good place to start. It's got accessible stuff like Iron and Wine and Death Cab, but a lot of their smaller artists are gold. If you're into Stars, you'd almost definitely like Great Northern... not to mention that (due to the hilariously incestuous but wonderfully productive Canadian music scene) both Amy and Torquil's side projects (Amy as a soloist and Torquil with Memphis) are fun. Different than Stars, for sure, but enjoyable.

If you're not listening to Andrew Bird, you probably should be. ^_~ Man's a genius, albeit a quirky one; I think you'd like his work.

If you like singer-songwriters, Sarah Slean and Tom McRae are two of my favorites at the moment; she's tongue-in-cheek and he's more earnest, but they're both excellent.

Hmm.

Excellent. :D YAY MUSIC RECS~!

I RECOMMEND:

Love Psychedelico.
You'll either like it not like it. WHO KNOWS?

Also: I'm jealous that you and your brother get along, even if just on msn. :P

Haha, okay. ^_^

Do you still not get along with the Creature from Cabin # (I can't remember which number he was)?

I try.
; 3 ;

Still not much success, though.
