In other words, me and my dad went looking for something to buy for Mum for her birthday. Neither of us had a clue, so we decided to go over to Pennington's, since Mum likes their clothes. The ladies there knew exactly who we were and with their help (and memories of what Mum was looking at last time she was in the store) we managed to put together a very satisfactory bunch of clothes. Woot!
Also bought my brother's birthday present today; I got him a 512 meg micro SD/trans-flash card for his cell phone, as it only came with a 32 meg one. It holds six songs. ^^;; We have too many July birthdays in my family: Dad, Uncle Don, Mum and Aunt Marion, and then Tim, my brother. In less than ten days. Dad's is on the second of July, and Tim's is on the eleventh - meaning I ended up having to buy everyone's presents on one paycheque. OW. My bank account is crying in pain.
August, however, contains only my and my maternal grandmother's birthdays so everyone's bank accounts have recovered by the time gift time for me rolls around. Yay-ness. This year, I actually have ideas for my birthday - stuff for school. I want a mini-fridge, a small TV, a VCR, and the B&D (I think) soup cooker thing that
In other news, I have tendonitis again. This is at least the fourth or fifth time that work has given me tendonitis - and of course, I still have to go to work, although it hurts to type. I did, however, get to leave early today. See, last time I had tendonitis, I was taking Naproxen 325's three times a day, which made me a little spacey, but not too, too bad; this time, however, I'm taking the 500's twice a day. As in, right before I go to work, and at supper time. I was... how shall I say, semi-stoned at work today. The trainee who was sitting with me to shadow could actually follow what I was doing, as I wasn't firing on all cylinders. I was working at about 40% efficiency and they were probably going to send people home because we over-staffed, so I got to go home after lunch. They hadn't officially said they were going to send people home, but if they did I'll get put in for an exception.
Hopefully by tomorrow, my fourth dose, I'll have adjusted a bit more to the strength of the medication and I won't be quite so out of it.
So yes,
And just because I can, here's another one of those quiz-y things.
